Ok, we love the animals and, sometimes, even care about being politically correct. But, this fall we’re jumping on the bandwagon with the trend of leather (or leather-like) leggings.
Real leather leggings are one of the top trends of the moment; however, for some of us, the price tag on these doesn’t justify the purchase. But, if you’re interested in some of the real leather styles, here are some of our top picks:

Can a mom pull these off? Why the heck not! But you have to know how to do it in a way that’s most flattering for your body type. Remember these quick tips when pulling on your favorite leather (or leather-like) leggings:
- Loose fitting tops are most flattering when paired with fitted bottoms.
- Flats will make your legs look shorter. And, if you have thicker legs, they will appear a little stumpy in flats. Heels are great to wear, if you don’t have long legs.
- Elongate your leg even more with shoes that are in the same color as your pants.
- Fitted, man-style jackets over a fluid shirt will punch up an outfit with leggings and will make you look really pulled together.
- Keep the bling to the shimmer of your leggings, along with a few pieces of modest jewelry. Don’t put a shimmery top over glistening leggings. Not cool, unless you’re going out for the night. And even then, you have to be really careful of how you pull this together.
Ok mom, those are our tips. Now, go forth and work those leggings!
